I got this product specifically for this purpose and they are incredibly comfortable! I can’t say they “help” any more than just relieving some of the pressure you would normally feel and being more comfortable than without anything.
They are tight, but not so tight that they cause any swelling
Yes, definitely! Both the comfort and gel cushions are closer to resting state at that size foot. Then anything higher than a size 9 foot they will considerably stretch out.
You can clean the items using soap and warm water. Do not worry, they maintain their shape and color in washing.
I wore mine in shoes just fine, all day long. However, watch out if you’re diabetic or your feet swell much because then you shouldn’t. I tended to wear the black ones at night and the gel ones during the day, really reduced my heel pain until a thin red line rash started appearing along one edge. I get the same thing with tight socks when a foot swells, so it wasn’t from this product, just me. The gel things stretch REALLY well, but… if you find either of your feet swell, don’t wear them all day long.
I use it based on what I’m wearing over it. If I’m at home then I wear both to give maximum cushion and comfort. If I’m wearing it outside, if you shoes are big enough then I wear both of them or just the gel cushion and my socks. The edges of the black sleeve might dig in if you wear it for an extended period. Only by wearing and experimenting you can determine his for yourself. Good luck The top portion of the silicon sleeve – where it is attached to the foot also digs in and becomes uncomfortable, so I slip a paper towel or some padding to lessen the irritation.
